The outdoor cat enclosure for indoor cats is a massive playground for my three cats. I first set it up in my living room to see how the cats would react. My most curious and intelligent orange tabby, Tigger, was the first to explore it. Previously, I received three other small tunnels and connected them indoors. They have been a constant source of entertainment for the cats and their owners to watch. That is the reason for ordering this gigantic fort/tunnel system, since the other tunnels are a blast for the felines. Later, in an hour, the other two cats became engaged in the tent and were intrigued to explore. This new tunnel system will continue to heighten the cats' interests, resulting in continuous chasing and catching cat games. The indoor playground is sensational, even if the tunnel system is not used outdoors. My oldest outdoor rescue cat will love the outdoor version since he constantly tries to escape out the front door. This will allow him freedom in the open air, but offer protection from predators and getting lost outside. It's a three-thumbs-up or a five-star Amazon item!

I set this up a few days ago. The enclosure comes packed in 2 nylon storage bags. The round shaped bag includes the tent, castle and the cylinder and dome corner pieces and the other bag contains the tubes and stakes.I didn't find instructions, not sure if I just missed them but it's not brain surgery.I put the tent up first, it pops open easily (all of the pieces do) and it's basically ready to go, I then set about attaching the tubes and other corners, all zip together. You can configure this anyway you want, a long trail, 2 separate trails, etc. Each piece could also "stand" on it's own. Some of the corner pieces need you put tent type poles into sleeves, it's easy to do. There's 1 pack for the castle that has poles bent to fit the shape, another pack for the cylinder, and a separate pole that goes across the dome/tunnel shaped one.It probably took about an hour to set up including staking it down and for extra security I added sandbags at the corners and tied one end to a pop-up canopy that's also sandbagged and itself tied to the back deck. After I put this up and storm brewed and winds picked up to 20mph, this little playground didn't move a centimeter.I'll probably move it from its current position and put another pop up tent over it to keep it in shade and protected from rain. Rain is the only place I see a problem. The bottom of the corners are all waterproof nylon with no drainage. It's not at all hard to lift and dump the water but you do have to unstake it. If there were a grommeted hole or two in the bottom of the corner pieces this would not be an issue. How do my cats feel about it? They love it. It's a great place to chase one another. I threw toys in it and they will chase those toys around. The set comes with a stuffed clown fish which I am keeping inside to keep it dry.Yesterday after the rain and I dumped water there were 3 cats inside and 2 outside chasing each other. This playground allows me to keep an eye on them, keep them entertained and safe. I think when it's covered with a tent or shelter cloth it will be even better.I love it's flexibility and ease of set up.

I absolutely love the concept of this cat enclosure. It is lightweight, expandable (though expensive to do piece by piece), offering good visibility. But there are several limitations keeping it from being a 5 star product that are making it tough to decide if it is a 3 or 4 star item. The included carry bag, cat harness and toys are a thoughtful addition. For starters, No instructions included? Not cool. Even bad instructions are better than no instructions. I found the zippers to be difficult to engage properly especially since it looks like they can connect two ways. A bit of green fabric near the start point on the zippers would be nice.Prepare yourself for the size if you get the full sized model Style #9. That is not a negative, you just need to be prepared for it.My challenges might be simple because of my own two cats, but yours might be similar. Have you ever tried to put your cat in a cat carrier? Has your cat ever been outside? If the answer to the first is yes, and it gives you shivers to think about make a note of that. If your cat longs for the outside, but kind of freaks out when you carry them out make note of that. Now add those two things together if you are trying to get your cat into the structure outdoors and you try and use the zip top cylinder section to drop them in. Did you know cats can defy physics and actually stretch wider than physically possible? They can! So trying to put a yowling struggling cat in through a mesh fabric hole can be challenging. I never tried it on just one of the circular side holes with are even smaller. My cats are always longing for the outside. But when actually carried outside? They are not very happy about it. I was able to get them into the structure but one immediately began to freak out. She has claws and bounced around so much I was worried she might tear the fabric. The other cat was just not happy and nervously paced.I brought the structure in the house and set up the square corner structure (which on its own sags quite a bit but is still self-supporting. They avoided it at first but after a few days they started going in it and now they enjoy popping in and out of it. So when the weather is nice again I might try it again outside.Setting the full style 9 kit up is something that does take awhile. And I am not sure how sun resistant the fabrics are for extended use outside. So that is also a concern. If you are only going to use this indoors, go ahead and get it. But if planning on introducing your cat to the great outdoors, that can be a challenge if your cats are not into it.This is a review of: Outdoor Cat Enclosures for Indoor Cats, Outdoor Cat Tent with Tunnel for Multiple Cats, Cat Playpen for Pet Kitty Rabbits Ferrets Puppy and Other Small Animals, (Style 9 with 4 tunnels and 4 corner structures)

I bought an older version of this last year. We live on a sailboat during the summer and wanted our cats to be able to get some fresh air. This worked so well for us. We purchased the new one this year to extend the setup. The mesh is see through, but is pretty tough. One of our cats has claws and the other two do not, but it didn't rip. We secured it to our boat deck with double sided snaps and line and cut out the bottom to go over the hatch so they would have free access. Fabricated our own "new bottom" with double sided tape and fabric so they couldn't escape. Very pleased with our purchase and will purchase over and over as required (we are too lazy to take it down in the wind so that tends to wear on it).
