I recieved this item March 18. I assembled and installed it on April 3. Today is May 7 and the entire door has fallen apart after ONE rainy day. I’m in Denver where it almost never rains. I had also stained and sealed the box. It did rain yesterday and today the entire door just crumbled. Very disappointed and annoyed. Do not recommend.

This is a delightful outdoor library box wood cabinet. The instructions weren’t very clear, but if you start in the correct spot with the bottom panel, the rest will fall into place. Pay close attention to the images rather than the words. The pieces have a front, a back, a top, and a bottom. The hardware is good quality, and the magnetic closure has a satisfying click. I gave it a quick sanding and then assembled it. I plan on using a clear polyurethane to seal the wood. After I put it together, I realized it would have been very easy to paint the panels before assembling them. You’ll need some wood putty if you’d like to cover or seal the screws. I ordered this Bavlesfuire “Outdoor Library Box Literature Exchange Box Little Wood Cabinet for DIY Outdoor Book Storage, Neighborhoods Community and Schools Sharing Books, Literature and Newspapers Art” in Single Door, although I now think I will have preferred double door to accommodate more books.I got this as a project for my Girl Scout troop, but they are Young, and this construction was a bit too much for them. It will need to be treated for outdoor weather and planning needs to be made to install a post. I love the idea of little libraries, and it is great to have a kit for those of us who do not typically create wood projects on our own.

It's perfect, exactly what I wanted. Was shockingly easy to build. Pretty good quality, solid wood and metal roof. Hinges look to be steel and handle looks to be brass. I painted it, put wallpaper on the inside, and mounted it to a mailbox post that I concreted in the ground.

Beware: When I first got this , I was so excited. Pieces were sturdy and instructions were just illustrations but that was okay. So I started to paint it to match our community colors. That went well also until I started to peel off the film on the plexiglass. It was like glitter all over. Left the plexiglass scratched and the glitter film all over my nicely painted project. What they used as film to protect plexiglass, I have no clue. I just hope I can clean this up to be presentable. Pictures posted are of the doors...will post the full project after assembled.

Step two has 4 B screws going in, attaching the back panel to the sides. Each of my side pieces only has one of the two holes it's supposed to have. I'm not sure they're super-necessary, but I might have someone drill the holes for me, anyway.It does FEEL well-made, though.
