To soon to tell how long the product will last. I will update in a few months. BUT.. so far so good. The length is great for what I need and it also comes with the lube tip. Cleaned very well.. At this point I totally recommend ..

Only used it on three shotguns this past dove season, seems to have done the job. Will it last a few seasons, I think it will. It stores easily on my wall pegboard.

The rod was broken when received but did not manifest until the third cleaning. The rod was flexing like it was hinged in my first two uses. In third use, the rod came apart inside the gun. Upon extracting the section lodged in the gun and comparing the two broken pieces, the wooden straight shaft upon which the cleaning material is attached had broken and was broken all along. The cleaning material must have held the device in tach before giving way. Apparently the wooden shaft was broken when received being held together buy the wrap material. I have other cleaning rods that are hinged together with a hook and eye with my thinking in this case that the connection was under the cleaning material wrap. Was I wrong!

Had lost one of these, but found it and realised how much more useful it was because it broke down into 2/3 pieces and, thereby, fit into the case w/the broken-down gun. This one does the same good job, but it is just too long to pack in anything, have to keep it in trunk.

In the past year I have ordered several of these items and keep them in the closet until needed. The last two have been broken in two when I went to use them. Today I checked the two that were shipped, it came by UPS and it too was bent and almost broken in two. Not sure if it will break when I go to clean my gun or not. I checked the package, and sure enough the box had been bent. Your shipping folks are obviously the culprit. These tools use a wooden dowel and will break very easily if bent too far.Respectfully,W F Huff
