I absolutely love this movie. I grew up watching it, not aware of the maturing of this movie, when watching as a young adult. A family (myself, siblings and cousins) favorite.

Cannot go wrong with Bette Midler and Shelley Long! This is a great movie and has many great actors and George Carlin for added fun! Great plot and they make a serious theme so funny!!

Die DVD kam am angekündigten Tag an, jedoch hatte ich vergeblich versucht, diese abzuspielen und dann festgestellt, dass die DVD nicht mit dem deutschen System kompatibel ist. Wie der Aufdruck auf der Rückseite deutlich sagt, wurde diese DVD ausschliesslich für den amerikanischen Markt gefertigt. Nach einigem hin und her hat man mir zugesagt, den Kaufpreis zu erstatten.

This is an old comedy - but so very worth watching even today. Bette Midler, Shelly Long, Peter Coyote - are main characters - but for me the star of the movie is George Carlin - and it isn't a huge roll - but he is sooo funny. I miss him. Adult humor and themes, a little language. I MIGHT let my 12 year old grandson watch it, but not the 8 year old - just my opinion. These days I buy all my movies via stream so I can download on any device and watch when and where I want - no DVD to store.

I'd seen this film years ago and thought my son would like to see it.I couldn't find it on any streaming services, but it's a great buy at under $6.Lots of laughs, and yes, my son loved it!

Really good movie for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Long and Midler in a classic 80s movie is always fun :)

Zwei Schauspielschülerinnen, wie sie gegensätzlicher nicht sein könnten: Die eine (Bette Midler) ein ehemaliges Go-Go-Girl, vulgär, ungebildet, lasziv - die andere (Shelley Long) ehrgeizig, belesen, wohlerzogen. Ohne es zu wissen, "teilen" sie sich ein und den selben Liebhaber. Als dieser auf spektakuläre Weise ums Leben kommt, wollen beide im Leichenschauhaus einen letzten Blick auf den Geliebten werfen. Dabei stellen sie fest, daß das "edelste Körperteil" der ansonsten sehr entstellten Leiche keineswegs ihrem Lover gehört haben kann; er muß also noch am Leben sein!Bei der nun einsetzenden Verfolgungsjagd entdecken die beiden Mädels, daß ihr "Freund" in dunkle Machenschaften verwickelt ist. Auch das FBI interessiert sich für ihn. Es kommt zu vielen komischen bis haarsträubenden Situationen. Humor und Action machen den Film überaus unterhaltsam.Mein Tip: Achten Sie auf Shelley Longs Balett-Sprünge am Anfang und am Schluß des Filmes!
