This is an unsolicited and unpaid review. On my back porch I had a standard 12 by 12 pop up. It was was ok, but needed something else. This item fit the ticket. Seems to be pretty sturdy. Assembly was not too bad. I read the instructions and proceeded to assemble and install solo. There was a little bit of back and forth but it went fine. Total time took me about 3 hours. Next build should only take about 90 minutes. I know where the shortcuts are now. Very happy with this product and look forward to it lasting a few seasons until I get a real screened in porch. My only wish is for the material to be made by Sunbrella.

For the price it works great, metal is not that strong and it parachutes in the wind, also PITA to put together- have to watch the YouTube videos, will definitely take more than one person to put up

The awning was missing one of the front bar frames. So I called customer support. They said that didn't have that particular part in stock but would send me another complete unit which arrived 2 days later. They also said to keep the original for spare parts. That's what I call great customer service. It took awhile to put together as the assembly instructions were confusing and I had to figure it out. It definitely takes two people to install. Once we had it up it worked perfectly and we love it. We had to adjust the pitch a little to get the right angle for rain run off. That was a simple screw adjustment. The awning material seems heavy enough to last awhile.

I hired, and paid a contractor to install this. He actually brought in another person with experience in hanging these type of awnings to help. I gave him the instructions in advance. They have spent 4 evenings here, and twice, didn't have the correct hardware!! It is up now, but won't work until they can get another two pieces of hardware!!

Already knowing the instructions are not the best. Owning the 8x10 version already for 2 years . Parts marked incorrectly ,right for left and visa versa. Being mechanically inclined . I was able to install it correctly. I took the chance on the larger one ,12x10. WHAT A MISTAKE. I first wanted to return it but $120 to ship ,I took their percentage discount and tried to save my investment. No matter how I adjust it ,even varying from the instructions it still sags and rain puddles in the center. Making me have to retract it even with the slight chance of rain. And living in Florida ,thats every other day . The torsion bars do not seem strong enough to support the weight of the awning. Save you money and do your research and buy a better one . Maybe I got a defective one . I will never buy from this company again.
