Solid product. Instructions are a little vague but easy enough to figure out how to install. Had to purchase two longer screws for the handle mounts as the supplied ones were way to short. Easy install after that. Solid sturdy product.

Rotates in the brackets, won’t secure anything

The mount isn’t very secure—it tends to rotate no matter how tightly you fasten it to the bar, as it’s just metal inside plastic. I’ve placed my lightest rifles in the holders, but they still move. Additionally, the rifles can get in the way of both the driver and passenger. That said, it seems this mount is designed more for stationary storage rather than driving around with rifles installed.

The idea of this is good, however unless you'r using a very short barrel rifle pr shot gun then it gets in the way of the driers head or the passengers. With my truck, 08 F-350 the handles are right in the middle of the front and rear seats and a 28 inch barrel shot gun sites right beside my head as I'm driving, and i have to duck my head around it to get in and out. The other issue is there is no way to get the bar tight enough with the plastic holders screwed into the truck where the handle use to be without the weight of the gun causing it to spin to where the gun hangs very low. On the good side, the rest and security straps the gun sits in is very nice and well made. This may be great for a large SUV in the very back, however I would never buy it for a pick up truck.
