The workhouse end of each of these utensils is well made and workable, with no need for a long handle. We often need to stir a pan of veggies or sauce or flip an egg or two without the presence for a long handle which does little other than take up space. I was so glad to find these nicely sized kitchen tools by OXO, a trusted brand in our household. They look nice, are heat resistant and safe in the dishwasher. Works for me!

Last autumn, after CNN and other new sites talked about how we shouldn't use black plastic because how it's made of recycled black computer plastic that contained several not-good-for-you chemicals, I tried to find replacements for my plastic kitchen utensils.After emailing several companies to find out if they used recycled black plastic, Oxo was one of very few companies that responded back to me. They said they have never used recycled black plastic in their products, because of the chemicals involved, and have no plans to start using it in the future.So, I got this Oxo set and have been very happy with it. The shorter handles and smaller sizes make cooking easier when my arthritis flares up and my heavier stainless steel utensils are too heavy for me to use.

My newly fabricated Ninja outdoor cooking station is now complete with the downsized utensils. Initially, I read of them melting by a user and was a bit hesitant. Once I receive them and took note of the sturdy materials used, am in total belief that the person who managed to melt the spatula does not belong near a grill. I have used them for many different meats, pizzas, calzone, vegetables, with zero heated or other complications. They maintain their shape and are perfect leverage for the small grilling surfaces. This is a nice set at a fair price.

These are the perfect size for cooking. The shortened handles make it much easier when cooling as they allow your arms to be more at a relaxed level. So happy to finally find these.
