Super high quality balsa glider! Flies really well and is very durable. Plus rubber band slingshot works great. Will definitely buy a bunch more of these for the kids this summer.

This is a very nice and attractive glider. The graphics are detailed and bold and the construction is sturdy. Assembly was very easy as well since there are only a few individual components. The included rubber-band launcher works very well in getting the plane airborne (much better than throwing it) and adjusting the position of the plane's wings results in different flight characteristics. Moving the wings all the way back results in a flatter flight trajectory and moving them more forward, towards a "balanced" position results in large, sweeping loops. The conditions I was flying in were somewhat windy, but the plane still performed well.My only complaint (and the reason for 4/5 stars) is that I think an extra set of wings should ideally be included. The wing seems to be the most damage-prone area and mine suffered damage after a collision with some playground equipment. The plane continues to work well despite the damage, but an extra wing would add extra longevity to this model.

I was so glad to run across this, especially since I remember flying various types of planes when I was a kid. I'm not sure kids do that anymore with all the tech stuff out there to keep them occupied, but this is an unusual outdoor gift that surpasses what today's kids have become used to playing with and really should be introduced to how much fun it can be. They may be future pilots because of it. This glider is a great value with balsa wood materials and offers quality construction. Some of my planes that I flew were of balsa too, but nothing like this! It was thoughtfully designed with some reinforced parts to protect it during landings, esp the nose, and the balsa wood is thicker than I remember. I think it would be even better if it had more reinforcement, plus an extra wing, but for the price it is well worth it just like it is. It's easy to put together and fun to use.

I bought the “P-40 Warhawk Balsa Wood Historical WW2 Glider with 14 inch Wingspan and Slingshot” as a fun activity for my 11-y/o grandson; he seemed less than interested in the airplane until grandpa came in and started telling him about Balsa airplanes he built, when he was a boy. After my husband took it out of the package, he was excited because this Airplane seems to be a better quality than he ever remembered his childhood planes to be … this Airplane is a heavier-duty, premium Airplane. After seeing grandpa’s enthusiasm, my grandson became real interested in my husband’s stories so, they talked as my grandson assembled. My grandson loves this Airplane (& so does grandpa). I’m glad they built it together because my husband was able to give our grandson some tips and help with the sling-shot launcher. Before long, my grandson got the hang of it & was able to launch the Airplane about as high as grandpa could. After readjusting the wings, grandpa was able to get the Plane to fly in a loop but, my grandson is still working to perfect his loops. The Airplane’s weight is very nicely balanced, which aids in great soaring & launching. The Balsa wood is substantial, without being too heavy to fly. It has a reinforced ‘nose’, and the wings have an 14” span. Everything about this Airplane wreaks quality … it’s the best one grandpa ever used. Since it’s the first for my grandson, the bar has been set by BINOS with this beautiful Balsa Wood Airplane.I highly recommend this Airplane; it’s such a wonderful, back-to-basics toy. I’m highly satisfied.
