Today's modern vehicle audio systems are becoming increasingly more sophisticated and complex. PAC Audio engineered the AmpPRO 4 Interface for select Ford 2018 and up vehicles to dramatically simplify the installation of upgraded amplifiers in databus-controlled amplified sound systems. AmpPRO allows you to keep the original radio's fit, finish, and features while giving you the freedom to improve the audio performance in record time! The module also retains all audio from other vehicle features such as factory Bluetooth and all warning chimes. A sub level controller and optical output are included.

I initially purchased a PAC module, but the remote power stayed on constantly. The seller promptly swapped the item, which I appreciated. However, the replacement unit has its own issue—the Toslink connection intermittently cuts out when hitting bumps while driving, causing the music to stop for a few seconds before sometimes resuming, even though it is mounted securely. It's frustrating because PAC modules do function as intended when they work, but the build quality leaves much to be desired. Dealing with multiple malfunctions is a major downside. I’m hoping the vendor will provide a replacement for this second defective unit, but I wish PAC would improve their quality control.

What an easy way to upgrade your factory sound system. This thing is great and easy to install. Maintains factory integration for the system.

This is a must have for B&O upgrade. I have a 2018 F150 Lariat. I purchased my truck brand new and after over 5 years of owning it, I finally upgraded the sound system. In my old truck, I had a 10" Alpine dual coil sub and two JL Audio Slash amps. B/4 sell my old truck, I pulled the amps and sub out. My wife had a 2011 Chev Tahoe with the JL Audio HD 900/5 amp. We traded it in. and I took the amp out of it.To make a long story short, my gear have been sitting in the garage unused for years. I have been looking at just upgrading my sub and looked at the Kicker Keyloc, LCi 2 Pro, and some other stuff as well. I knew that I would not be happy with only the sub upgrade. I even upgraded all 4 door speakers as well. So, the Amppro was the way to go. So, I connected the Amppr to the JL Audio HD 900/5 amp and start tuning the amp to my liking. My truck has the auto start/stop feature, and I have it on. I have my music on and the engine stops, my music still plays without "skipping a beat", literally. I did not make any cuts to the wire or remove any unused wires. I tied back any unused. wires. I did use the factory harness to tie back into the speakers instead of running new wires.Overall, I am very happy with the Amppro....FD31.Pros:ease of setting it up by plugging my laptop into the unit and making the adjustments. On Amazon, the cheapest I seen for this unit and got in 48 hours of orderingsmall and discreetCons:Not really a way to secure it to a backboard. I used 4 zip ties with screw eyelets to secure itNo micro USB cable came with the kit.Unneeded harnesses that came with the kit. Less unused harnesses could bring down the price.Made of plastic. A more studier material could have been used.

This device does two things that I consider mandatory when upgrading your audio system. First, it generates a flat signal for six RCA outputs at 5volts or an optical digital. Second, it allows adjustment of the factory chime volume. If you have ever heard an amplified chime you know how valuable this is! Bonus feature is the harness that interfaces with the OEM speaker wire. No need to cut into the factory wiring. There are some DSPs out there that claim to cleanup the factory EQ. That's true if you never adjust the volume with your factory knobs ever again. The EQ changes throughout the volume range. You have to use the DSP app/knob to adjust the volume. There is another option out there that's been around longer. I personally haven't used it. Heard mixed reviews and it's more expensive.
