These poly-mailers are decent and most importantly pass the tear test. They're not going to protect well against sharp edges and might rip open on those, but are durable to simple stretching or pulling at the edges. The glue smells a little odd but seems to stick pretty well. The bags themselves feel a little thin, but overall would probably be fine for most applications. Note that you won't get an air-tight seal along the top opening if that's important for your shipping needs - it's just a standard fold-over "peel and stick" glue edge. The quantity of mailer bags makes this a great value.

Poly mailers seem strong enough to survive shipping, which is probably the only factor that matters.

We ship a decent amount of stuff using these type of poly bags and to get some of them in a lot like this brings down the price per bag. The bags seem well made and have pretty decent thickness which helps with durability and protection while it's traveling through the mail. The adhesive strip seems strong enough to stick to itself and to stay closed while in transit.

These are not the kind of poly mailers I was expecting. I do not like the feel of them. They feel very cheap. You do get a lot for your money though. If I was shipping anything other than a tee shirt I would worry about them but I think they would work fine with a shirt. I did poke my finger through one when I was testing it out but I was trying to get it to rip just to test the strength. The seal seems fine and strong. I will probably end up using them for some things but I would not order again.

They're in fact waterproof as well as tear proof.These poly bags thin appearance might immediately have you doubting their durability; you might even feel as if you're being duked, lied to which might cause you to challenge them to a duel!I urge you not to for you will not win! These bags might be thin but they're mighty! lolBy making these mailers thin without compromising their strength make them the perfect mailer!A heavier, thicker bag equates to higher postage! What's the difference of a few ounces?....the difference can be the difference of first class mail or priority mail which can be the difference of $5+ which is significant for a small business who ships dozens of first class packages a week.Poly mailers aren't designed for items with sharp ages or even weight for that matter so these bags just need to be durable enough to avoid being torn while in transit while keeping it's content dry. These bags are best suited for soft goods such as textiles. I would also use them for documents or jewelry wrapped in foam or bubble wrap for impact protection in addition to the moisture protection these poly mailers offer.Overall I find these mailers to be well made and of great value in more ways than one and as someone who has worked in shipping and receiving environments for over 2 decades I would highly recommend these.

I use mailers everyday and unless you are looking for extra thin noisy mailers then I am not going to recommend them. I didn't find them to be remarkably strong, I was able to create a tear quite easily that begins from the flap. You do receive a large amount of mailers (my order was 500) and the gray color is attractive, I just didn't find them strong or tearproof. I wouldn't trust these mailers at all to protect anything and I would need to use two or three instead of one to feel a little more confident. If I was shipping only inexpensive textiles or clothing, then I would bump these up a star. To me, these mailers look like they would be used for something that is being given away free. Never-the-less, to complete my review, I went through the entire process of actually using one of these. They just scream outloud that nothing inside is breakable or valuable.
