I had to replace my macbook track pad after th original got damaged. The first replacement did not turn out well: the pointer was jumpy at first and then started cycling through all the trackpad clicking and gesture functions as if it was haunted. I changed brands and landed on Padarsey and now all works well. I was not shopping for miracles, I just wanted something that works and found it.On another note, it came with a new cable that is packaged separately. It is a cable that is not made specifically for the A1708 and will not fit in that machine. The cable is made for the A1706. When ordering, make sure you are getting the right cable.
