These things are junk bit I'm on my third one because it's a little less terrible than the Parrot remote. These work for a month or two then die.If anyone finds something useful for Android please advise.

The first problem is that this remote presents itself as a bluetooth keyboard, rather than a joystick. This means you won't be able to type anything when it's connected to a phone or tablet, as having a keyboard connected will prevent the on-screen keyboard from appearing. Also it fails to connect about 80% of the time, so you have to be constantly re-pairing it to the device.The only thing to like about this thing is that it's light weight and the buttons are fairly quiet.

I got one of these remotes free with a Padcaster Teleprompter, but it's worse than useless—it's infuriating to use.I tried it with two iPhones, an iPad, and my Mac, and in all four cases, pairing is a nightmare. Sometimes it would pair... and sometimes not. Sometimes if I 'forgot the device' and repaired it would pair, sometimes it wouldn't. Sometimes I had to turn on and off the remote three or four times (waiting 10-20 seconds each time), and then it would finally pair.My (admittedly more expensive) Satechi remote has no such problems pairing and unpairing.And that's before we get to the hardware. The buttons are mushy and have some of the worst feel of any remote clicker I've used. Definitely not great for presentations or teleprompter control, where you really need to go by feel.It works. Sometimes. That's why I didn't give it one star. But it's been bad enough using it for two shoots that I decided to buy another Satechi instead.The Parrot Teleprompter itself is a different thing—it has it's uses, and it's own drawbacks, but its limitations are more acceptable. To charge more than $5 for this remote is a disservice to the Parrot brand.
