This seems well made. Unfortunately, I don't have a Diamondback Tools holder. I was hoping to use this to securely hold one of my rock hammers on the outside of my pack, but it doesn't really work for that purpose. I am often bending over to pick up rocks, and the sleeve isn't that secure. I wish it had a strap at the top to fasten over the top of the hammer head. I also wish it had more mounting options. It would be great if this could be attached to a Molle system. Unfortunately, it has only the one attachment point. It seems best suited for the Diamondback Tools holder shown in the photos.

I replaced my basic hammer loop on my nylon dewalt toolbelt with this and definitely appreciate it after getting muscle memory down. I have easy access to my hammer and it's just as easy to stow away. I punched a hole in my belt to secure the end to it and get the angle I wanted. I've used both smaller California style hammers in this and 22 oz framing hammers that is maybe 17in long and it all stays out for me until I remove it. This is a value option to see if it's s better alternative and with the build quality it should last a good while.
