Got this for my husband for his hobby painting. He doesn't love it though.

Instead of leaving a cup of water to rinse/clean paint brushes during the kid's painting sessions, that they "accidentally" hit or the water mess when dipping the brushes. I thought this product would eliminate or lessen the cleaning up time, but instead it caused the same amount of mess.

This is a nice tool to have around. Rinsing is a little easier than using two cups of water. The rinse basin is a little shallow for my taste, but it works well with small brushes. I've mostly used this for painting miniatures.

What a terrific idea for cleaning dirty paint brushes! I love that it easy cleans the brush. It works well with removing paint so your brush is clean and ready for the next watercolor.

I love the basic idea of this, but unfortunately it doesn't meet expectations. The plug on the bottom part is unnecessary and not very well-fitted, which results in it coming loose and leaking water all over your working surface, and the tank for holding fresh water is equally defective, in that it continues to release water beyond the "fill" point. So you end up with water getting everywhere in two different places, which obviously creates more of a hassle than anything. The idea is awesome, but the quality of the design is seriously lacking.

This seemed a little gimmicky, but so far it has been functioning as advertised, and we rather like it and have been consistently using it.You fill the cup, insert the temporary plug, screw the lid on, and plop it on the base. Then the water runs down the snaky path into the small reservoir. Whenever the reservoir water gets too murky, you push the button, and get new water from the cup.My young daughter in particular has been very enamored of it. She likes art, and has often been bothered by the paint water getting dirty. This device lets her (and me) sidestep the requests for a fresh cup of paint water. And she really enjoys pushing that button (and who wouldn't, it's rather satisfying). It's also very nice that this contraption is harder for her or (especially) her little brother to accidentally knock over and soak everything in the world with paint water.Eventually, after two or three cups full of water have gone through the system, you do of course have to empty the base where all the painty water has congregated. It's nice that this basin is several times bigger than the cup, to last through multiple loads. The only negatives I can point out are:1) The reservoir cup isn't all that large. It's easy to go through it pretty quickly if you're pushing the button a lot. Of course this also makes it easier to handle.2) You do have to get the hang a little bit of filling and plugging the cup and screwing the lid on properly, then adding it to the base in the right position. The first time I did all this, I had a leak that gushed all the water out in short order. Every since then there haven't been issues, though.3) You do need a level surface for this to work, as the booklet notes. (Hasn't been a problem for us on normal table situations in a typical house).

Great idea but needs tweaking. Couldn’t execute what was being expected. Doesn’t fulfil the purpose here and ends up being more work than keeping a fresh bowl of water which has to be changed multiple times, next to you.Don’t bother getting it. Will end up in the landfill and add to the global trashing we are all consciously or unconsciously culpable for!
