I make artist's oil paints from raw materials with the use of a commercial mixer and a three roll mill. As a result, I regularly buy empty paint cans to store the results. These cans are a perfect size for mixing up medium size batches of paint. They are exactly as expected in terms of construction, etc.The main issue with paint cans is the seal between the can and its lid. If that isn't air tight then you know what happens. In the case of oil paint, your paint will gradually have its solvent evaporate (if any) and oxygen will allow the rest to dry.I won't be able to judge the quality of the seal until I use them, but so far so good.
