it wasnt a perfect fit but I trimmed the buds off and it works great after all my exercise bike is a scwinn from 1979 ! its working better than ever now !

I removed the original OEM very small brake pads that always squeaked, even after removing cleaning, sanding the pads with sandpaper, cleaning the wheel, and replacing the pads. That would last maybe three weeks. I installed these newer pads on my vintage 1984 Schwinn XR-8 stationary bike. It took some modification in terms of cutting into the plastic with an oscillating saw in order to remove a small piece of plastic that was interfering with installation. But in over 2 years of intermittent use of the bike, these new pads have never squeaked. They have a far larger surface area than the original pads and a softer surface that hasn't needed to be cleaned so far, and maybe never will.

NEEDED NEW BREAKS FOR MY SCHWINN AND ITS OLD BUT WORKS, THESE DO NOT FIT PERFECTLY BUT THEY DO FIT AND NOW I DO NOT HAVE A WEIRD SMELL FROM THE OTHER ONES. NOT A BAD SUB IN.
