These hi hats are very good. They are a bit high pitched, but so are most Paiste hi hats. There is just something about these that are very unique. There's a papery crispness that I haven't quite heard on any other hi hats in my life. All of the 900 series are some of my favorite sounding cymbals Paiste has ever made.

I own both the 14 and the 15inch version of these hi hats. They sound very professional and are not at all "beginner" hi hats. The price is excellent for what you're getting. I have owned the Alpha medium and the PST8 hi hats and the 900s are definitely a step up
