The listing says it's an shaft extension. It would be more accurate to say it is a shaft adapter. The item sent to me, was of very good quality, but the female thread is 8mm ( along with the shaft as stated) the tip is 6mm male also as stated correctly. A simple work around is to purchase an 8mm insert to reduce the mating shaft size to 6mm. 10 SS pieces sold on Amazon for 10 bucks. In my case, I threaded the insert fully which easy accepts my JBL pole while still allowing enough 8mm to exist if I ever have the need to use. Win , Win. It now accepts 6 & 8 poles.
