I actually like this thing. It keeps me from chasing my yarn all over and from it getting tangled. I pull from the outside of the skein rather than the inside as you usually do and it avoids all the tangly bits. Especially at the beginning and end of the skeins.pleasantly surprised. I like to hand it from something nearby if possible but from the wrist works too.

The metal holder is heavy, I like the plastic ones better. Wrist strap is heavily woven beaded paracord, overkill for this item. I use it hanging from a hook rather than my wrist, it’s too heavy for that.

Great quality for the price! I use this while waiting on my kiddos are various sports practices throughout the week. It's been a great addition to my project bag. The yarn moves freely without getting tangled. I can wear it on my wrist or attach with a simple loop to a chair or handle. I'm going to order another one so I can work with 2 skeins at a time.

Love this device, it makes yarn portable. Also very useful when caking yarn (no bowl or box for the skein to flop around in, it holds it steady) and it works as an extra caddy for my magnetic pendulum yarn holder. I think this design is superior with its flat bottom and folding construction and being magnetic metal is just a huge bonus for me. I liked it so much, I bought a second one. I had previously seen a similar design on ebay, the Ownlee Yarn Ball Holder. It was from the early 1900s which is what informed my decision to buy this design and I am so glad I did.

Title says it all. The yarn just wraps around it and it doesn't spin smoothly making it really hard to use.

I really like this product as the bottom is flat and fits/sit nicely by my side. I like that it is a bit heavier and more substantial than those made of wood as it stays where I put it. Since it is sturdier, it does not lean and yarn stays on the spindle.

I like that this item sits flat if needed. Everything was good, except that the metal swivel latch doesn't rotate smoothly. I only docked it 1 star because I can replace the swivel with a better one. But, I shouldn't have to, even at the economical price of this item. It affects the function of this item and it won't be usable as it is. I would return it, but it will cost more to return it than put a better swivel latch on it.
