I bought this in 2022 and blamed the faultiness of the product on my beginner tennis abilities and newness out the box. Nah, the balls often come off the string due to the string being very "slippery" out of knots and the tennis ball loop once played with.Typically unravels at least 1 time during practice, which luckily hasn't caused any damage, but resulted in at least one of the balls lost! Be careful if you have object in front and behind for this reason... balls can come flying.Every scout knot still results in this issue likely from design.

This helped me to synchronise the backhand movement. The string breaks after some use. In my case the breakage is at the beginning so I could forego that many inches of chord. In the beginning it was not fun as the ball returned faster than my reflexes.

I’m a beginner taking group lessons once/wk and I didn’t feel like I was making improvements w/my ground strokes after 2mo the. I thought I needed more reps to figure out the right grips and work on low to hi swing (I’d only ever swung a baseball bat). The coach didn’t recommend me getting one of these because former clients developed bad habits. I went ahead and got it anyway, keeping in mind to not build bad habits and my game has finally made noticeable improvements. I followed the following progression:- Didn’t try to rally for weeks maybe a month- Would focus on dropping, hitting, and catching on my forehand side. Over and over again, until I figured out my preferred grip (western) to keep ball level, then focused on low to high swing to produce topspin. You can actually see it when ball comes back because the cord wraps around the ball when I do it right.-Would repeat the process of dropping, hitting, catching on my backhand side. That took more time, but I stuck w/it and got results.-Then alternating dropping, catching, hitting from forehand to backhand. After a few weeks I started rallying slowly (the ball comes back fast) during last 5 min. I looked silly for first couple wks, not I feel like I know what I’m doing. I’m really starting to judge bounces and get consistency in my class now.I mainly use it in an empty parking lot, but lately have been taking to the court and positioning it about 6ft from the net. If I stand in the service box, the ball goes over the net, bounces and returns back over to my side so I can practice and rally w/the net. Even w/out a net the device helped me figure out the right height to hit the ball because if you hit too low the ball is unhittable for me to return. Also, for a beginner at least, the ball rallies better when it’s been worn down a bit and isn’t quite as lively.Way better than learning on a wall (I kept launching balls over it because my grips were wrong) because the ball comes right back, so I got tons to reps in. Highly recommended.

First ball's attachment broke after 2 days. Second ball came already gashed and airless. Product would be "fine" if even remotely well made but the quality is so lacking it's useless. 2 stars is generous.

My girls love this training kit. They used it all the time bf the winter came! They will be sure to pull it back out when the snow is gone! They whip the ball and the unit holds up great against the resistance. Recommend!

This is very entertaining! I don’t live near tennis courts so this is an excellent alternative that allows me to play tennis at home or in any open area. It’s a great activity that I can do by myself and I don’t have to worry about losing the tennis ball. It’s nice to be able to get away from phone and TV screens for a little while and spend some time outside doing something fun! I love being able to play tennis because it allows me to stay active and fit, and a tennis trainer is such a convenient way to do this.

The product is perfect for a tennis beginner. I have been wanting to get into tennis for many years but never actually committed until now. The ball returns back and has helped me learn how to properly swing my racquet! Highly recommend for the beginner to start lessons.

Excited to get and set up for some tennis training. Came with 3 tennis balls with attached elastic strings. Has a weighted base. Tennis balls were dead and had no bounce. Elastic string broke within 15 minutes on ball #1. String on ball #2 slipped out from the slots cut in ball. Tried to rethread it thru slots but gave up. Sits on the shelf as a paperweight.
