UPDATE: After a couple of weeks, the insulation tape started to break and peel off. Not everywhere, but enough to be noticeable and frustrating. It could be the paint on the pipe or that this catches southern sun. I'm not sure, but I know I need to redo the broken areas. The pieces you see in the picture were installed as one solid piece; the breaks happened on their own.I wrapped my sprinkler pipes with less than one roll of this Pangda 3 Roll Pipe Insulation Tape. Even 10 feet goes a long way when you're wrapping 1" pipe. The foam tape is very sticky and will stick to the first thing it touches (the pipe, itself, and your skin), so make sure you place the tape with intension.I still have 2 feet of foam pipe tape left from the first roll and two more that haven't been used yet. I might go for two layers of foam tape, just to really insulate those pipes. The quality is good and I'm optimistic it will last at least a couple of years.

This is as described but what it doesn't say is that it is only a loan type substance with no structure to it. You can't handle it once the paper comes off or it will stick to your hands leaving bits and pieces of this on your hands. It dies stretch but not much or it pulls apart. Does seem to stuck to itself fairly well. I purchased this to put over heat tape on a outside hydrant. I am sure this will fall apart from the sun and elements I guess time will tell. I am sure it will be one heck of a mess to clean up also because when I got done installing it my hands were black with this foam stuck to it. It would be fairly easy to wrap if you have plenty of space around your pipe for the whole roll to fit but I was working in a tight space so had to put it on in pieces in some spots. I personally would not purchase again and wouldn't have used it if I had time to return and wait for something different to get here.

$11 for 30 feet of insulation tape is a really good deal. I was able to wrap about 6 feet of AC lines with 20 feet of the tape. The tape itself seems solid and adheres very well. Maybe a little too well - if you miss and it sticks somewhere you don't want it to, then little black pieces get left behind when you try to peel it back off. It is not so bad if you accidentally stick it to the wrong spot on the black tape itself, but it really gets stuck on other materials. For the price, though, you can't expect it to be perfect.

While this worked to help wrap plants and pipes - it is impossible to take off and just disintegrates almost as if it melted - and we are barely above freezing!

Easy to wrap the pipe to keep them from freezing. Have not had a freeze yet. Therefore I can not comment on how well it will works.
