Rings are installed on the pistons already, I carefully removed the rings on the first piston to check ring gap. I decided that I would just install the other three as an assembly without checking. What I didn't notice is that one ring (Second from the top was broken in two pieces. since I was addressing the oil consumption problem I decided that one used ring would work ok for my car.
