We are avid cyclists and it's getting towards that time of year when we have to switch out shorts for pants. We're not into leggings and lycra apparel, so hiking pants are our winter go-to gear. In the past we have used different kinds of pants guards, with mixed results. Most just don't keep pants securely out of the chainring, which is messy at best and a safety risk at worst. These tidy little bands seem to outperform all the other devices we have used. The hook and loop fastening is quite secure and the elastic is nice and wide and keeps my pants leg from bunching up. When we're road-riding, we wear high vis vests; these neon green bands add another way for motorists to know we're there.

These elastic pants ankle band are great for keeping your pant legs from getting caught in your bike chain. I have ruined enough pant legs to know if you have any loose fabric you had better use some sort of elastic band to keep them from getting dirty and torn from getting stuck in the bike chain. I like the bright color for 2 reasons, one is it makes you slightly more visible and they are easier to find if you put them down and don't remember where they are. The elastic is quite strong and long enough to go around heavier boots or bulky fabric. The velcro is strong and plenty large enough to be able to make the size adjustment a wide range. I also use these while walking in taller grass and brush to help keep ticks away.

This is a nice upgrade to the typical bicycle pants clip. Over the years, I have used many styles of pants clip, by usually it's the cheapo metal horseshoe shaped clips on my legs. TheWal Base clips are helping me to upgrade my cycling style.The look of the clips is quite minimalist - more like an accent trim than an afterthought. I got the deep blue color, which is lovely. I'm very pleased with these clips: they look good and work well. The clips go on easily, are very adjustable to different size ankles and different thickness of pants materials.Most importantly, I feel just a tiny bit cooler with these clips holding my pant legs safe from my sprocket teeth.

These hem stoppers do what you need em to do. They are not too fancy, but are sufficiently comfortable, functional, and inexpensive.

These straps are perfect for strapping down any type of pant material around your ankle, so the material doesn't get caught in the bike chain. Not only is this a safety issue it also keeps your pants from getting greasy or torn.

I used these to go around some cloth that I needed held together. They held it great. The stretch gives enough give to go around but not so much that it is sloppy.

I ride my bicycle about four days a week, including to business type meetings, and I learned from my grade school years that grease on your pants or a rip, isn't a good presentation, but theses binders can serve a safety function as well.I've been using a standard hardware store type of 3/4 in. hook and loop strip for the function of keeping my pants off my chain for several years now. These improve on that convenience and performance by using 1-5/8 in - 41mm wide backing, more than doubling what I was using before. The material, which stretches by about double of the relaxed state, seems to be of excellent quality, and is unnoticeable at all once you are peddling.
