Flat back. The only stars the were 3d were too small, so I ordered an inch larger, but they were flat backed. When I found that out it was too late for me to make the ornament gifts, so I bought personalized ornaments which were nice, but definitely not as thoughtful as one that is handmade. I use to get them at AC Moore, but they went out of business. Michael's doesn't sell them at all. Tried this instead. The ad for them does not say flat backed or I wouldn't have ordered them.

Perfect sized stars to decorate with my 3 year old granddaughter. She's all into glitter and her first one was pink; it really turned out lovely!Am planning on taking the other stars in the package to her day-care class for a glue and glitter star day. It will be a mess, but I know the children will love it!
