This is top quality graphite for artists. I've tried the Pentel and Staedtler refills, but the one I like best is PaperMate, which I use with my PaperMate Clear Pont pencil.

This 35 pack was actually 36 leads in 3 12 packs, no matter, just different then what it said. Otherwise the lead is lead, what it's supposed to be.

Just as others have said, the led itself is great; (honestly the only reason we buy it) the case it comes in is nice, it's difficult to spill the led all at once, because of the nicely designed door in the poorly designed cap. Though this cap should not be removed as closing it with lead in the clear half will break leads.To avoid this, either be very careful to close it (with the leads in the cap) or don't open it ever. Your choice.Keep in mind however, that this is a refill, you don't by any means need to keep the container and refill it, I suggest recycling and buying a new set, because the leads themselves work just fine.

Nice to write with. My son has paper mate mechanical pencils and really likes these lead refills. They do not break easily. A little bit expensive though.I paid more than $ 7 In 2013. Now the price is less than half! Better deal!
