I got this light to use as a spotlight on my kayak when I fish at night. I’m using it with a 12v lithium battery and this light is bright. It may be too bright, but sometimes you need to be sure you are seen by other boaters because you are lower in the water. This light certainly accomplishes that, as it can be seen from very far away. It was more challenging to mount however because there is no mounting bolts or female threaded mounting points. It looks like it’s meant to go in a housing. I don’t count against that because I’m not using it for its intended purpose.
