I got this for another bag - not the bag that this is compatible with. The silicone holder is soft, but I don't feel it would be very protective of your phone. It did not work on the bag I tried using it on, because the little snaps do not fit with the spacing of the holes on the bag. I got it on, but probably won't use it for my phone. With that said, this is cute and soft, but I think it might be better for other things, like a few dollars in cash, some lip balm, etc.
