Product Description

Heater Hose and Coolant Hose
Heater hoses are rubber hoses that circulate engine coolant to and from the heater core, which is the small radiator that provides heat for the cabin. The water pump sends coolant that’s been heated up by the engine to the heater core through the heater hoses. Heater hose runs from the water pump to the heater core, behind the firewall, and from the heater core back to the radiator. Without heater hoses, you’ve got no heat.
Coolant Hose is typically a rubber device that manages the coolant flow from an engine’s water pump to the heater. Coolant hose is an essential cooling system in your engine, which would not work without them. Engines produce a lot of heat and coolant hose carries the coolant through the engine at an optimal temperature, cool the engine. It would quickly destroy the engine if left the heat to build up in it.

When should coolant hose or heater hose be replaced?
It is very important to test periodically the condition of your heater hoses. Wait until your engine has a chance to cool and then feel your heater hoses. If the hoses do feel too hard or too soft or appear to be cracked, you should have your heater hoses replaced as soon as possible. Also, if you are experiencing poor cabin heating or your engine overheats often, inspect your heater hoses and have them replaced if necessary.
Coolant hoses carry coolant, or antifreeze, between the engine and radiator. Over time, the hose is exposed to high heat and, in some climates, freezing temperatures, too. To prevent a failure, replace your coolant hose to keep the cooling system operating correctly and to prevent your engine from overheating. If your car is over four years old, it may be time to replace your hose. If you do a lot of stop-and-go driving wear can occur even quicker. If a leak develops, you run the risk of overheating your engine and should replace the hose immediately.
