Bought this because it has good reviews and I wanted to change out my carburetor that has the emissions junk on it. Turns out that this partman, more like junkman, carb isn't worth the scape metal it's made from. After 3 days of trying to tune this carb to work, I finally gave up and put the old carb back on. Everytime I had it working right, I'd start the genset the next day and it would try to gallop down the road on me. I will be refunding this overpriced paper weight and suggesting you beware when purchasing.

I installed this carburetor because the old one was gummed up. I was happy that the generator started right up. I was unhappy when I discovered that it would not support the startup surge of the air conditioner. I finally took it off and discovered the choke butterfly valve spring was weak and unable to properly open the valve. This carb is hard to change no matter what the Youtube videos say. When I finally took it off it was 14 months later and too late to return. A friend cleaned the old carb and I put it back on and it works fine.

Easy enough to replace old carburetor (not a mechanic). Took about an hour and a half after watching a couple videos. It now fires up on the first try and runs smoothly.

This is the second aftermarket carb I purchased. Sent a different brand back for flooding. Generator bogs out under any load whatsoever. Eliminated pretty much everything else. These cheap ones are kind of hit and miss whether they will work I am finding but I didn’t want to spend $400 on OEM unless I was positive it was going to solve my problem. One trick I can share to help installation (since I have done it about 10 times) is after removing the air filter and bolts for the carb, replace the air filter cover and tighten the wing nut. This will compress the foam gasket and give some more wiggle room on the carb. Anyway it started without popping through the carb and ran noticeably better. It still bogged out when turning on the breaker. I will maybe try to correct it by adjustment but think I may have an intake leak or possibly even a catalytic converter problem. Glad I didn’t spend the money on OEM at this point but still have to find a problem. Definitely running lean it seems. After all the research in people trying to fix problems I do not have any confidence in Onan any more. This unit is a 2018 with 100 hours on it and hasn’t run since I bought the rv a year ago. When I took the original carb apart to clean it I found not a speck of corrosion or varnish in it. Was spotless and has a filter yet it is clogged? Not sure Onan is using anything better for OEM carbs.

Made in China (of course), but it replaced the OEM carb and the generator fired right up! It's a bit tricky to do it yourself, but the money I saved was well worth the headache. Check out a few YT videos to get an idea of what you're up against beforehand. This carb works perfectly. If you want sticker shock, check the price of replacing your carb with a genuine Onan OEM carb. This was a gamble, but at this price, it paid off and saved me hundreds of dollars.

フォードE350に付いていたオナン4000W発電機がキャブレター不調でエンジンが掛からなくなりこの商品購入して交換しました。きちんと作動もしアイドリングなども安定して非常に満足です。ただ中に入っていたフューエルフィルターなどは燃料漏れしていて使い物になりませんでした。本体が良かったので大変満足です。

Was struggling to get RV generator to run - tried to clean out old carb but still would not run. Installed this carb, primed the system and generator fired up right away. So happy to have a working generator again.
