A couple hints for install. Once removing the original, thread the cable over the wiring, install the bell into the release mechanism, then slide the cable into the retention clip, shove the plastic retention bell into this clip, then finally secure the latch to the dash. If you alter this sequence, you will struggle and fail to install. Ask me how I know ....... ;-)
