Replaced a printhead in a Datamax Mark II printer. I was still having a problem with print consistancy across the label & constant ribbon wrinkle. All of my adjusment attempts failed. Replaced the original platen roller with this new one. Labels printed perfectly. One last comment, This item came without the plastic gear attached.I was concerned about pulling off the old gear & installing it on this new roller. No problem. When I had the old platen Assy. & the new new roller together it was very obvious. No tools required, just press the small release lever & the gear pulls right off.
