I like how easy this was to install on my shed. It's been through many rain storms and hasn't rusted and the dials still work like they should. It's easy to set the code with the instructions included. It keeps my door locked as expected. Great value as well!

PROS:- Looks good- No need for a Padlock or worry about losing keys- Installs like a normal hasp- at $9.99 not a bad value for the $$$- Seems as strong as, and as durable as a typical hasp

You definitely have to get the two parts lined up perfectly or there will be problems rotating the knob. A slightly wider opening that would not prevent locking could help. It's a fairly decent lock just keep the 1st sentence in mind.

This hasp lock is an excellent solution for locking outdoor wooden gates or doors. What is really handy is that it doesn't require a key -- the locking mechanism is a pass number turn knob. Setting your own unique combination from the initial 0-0-0 numbers is clear and very easy to do. Warning: Don't forget your new pass number because you can't reset the number tumblers without it!Installation was very simple. All the necessary hardware was included, and it took just a few minutes to securely mount it. The only suggestion that I have is that they could really use some larger and sturdier screws for the mounting. The included small screws do not feel substantial enough. You should look at this product if you're looking for a reliable and key-less locking solution. I highly recommend it.

Put this on a side gate that closes a part of the backyard for my 3 dogs. They have a doggie door so constantly in and out. I needed something that would stay secure but would allow access by the lawn guy without needing a key. I caught on my ring some kids that opened the gate and left it open. Thankfully, my dogs decided to not investigate as it was raining that day. I like that this gives me peace of mind while allowing authorized people to access. It is low-profile and sleek looking so adds to the aesthetic - not a fan of big, bulky padlocks. Easy to install and I used the provided hardware - was sturdy and quality made. Really pleased with this lock.

If you have home security cameras that record to a local device, like my DVR, then you know your footage is only as secure as the DVR it's on. If any home invaders happen to notice your cameras and locate the DVR then they can simple steal it along with all your valuable furbies and baseball cards. So it's a good idea to keep the DVR secured in its own lock box. This item is to replace a small keyed lock on my DVR security lock box, which came with a normal little lock and keys, of course, but unfortunately I lost the keys right away. (D'oh!)Funny thing about keys: I remember as a kid playing video games and "finding a key!" was always exciting because it meant if you hung onto it you were going to be able to unlock something exciting! Maybe a room with a treasure! Maybe a jail cell containing the hostage you were trying to save. You would *always* pick up a found key and it would more or less always pay off somewhere down the line.Fastforward to "real life."I have so many keys. So so so many more than I know what to do with. Wads of keys on keyrings, attempting to keep them all straight. House keys, (front and back, storm doors and regular doors, garage doors) car keys (main set and backups for each car, truck, and motorcycle) work keys (to the buildings and to the vehicles) mail box keys, bicycle lock keys (for the bicycles, for the lawn equipment that has to be kept locked up) mail box keys, keys for The Club devices kept in the cars for the rare occasion we remember to apply the devices to the steering wheels, keys for friends' front doors for when we house sit... So many keys, and no: I DON'T know what they all go to.So when I have the opportunity to simplify my life, that is KEY!This combination lock allows me to access the hardware inside my DVR box without keys! I was able to set my own combination code (the preset code is 0-1-0, not 0-0-0 like most resettable combo locks, so don't freak if you can't open it with 0-0-0) and it works totally perfectly. And is resettable again any time I want to control access after sharing the combo with someone else. (Not that that happens, but it's nice to know its an option.)If you're like me you will be glad you have this awesome lock because it means one less "thing" to have to keep track of.
