This is a relatively simple design comprising of a piece of silicone rubber with finger loops. The material feels stretchy and worked pretty well in the pool. As the webbing is quite small, you cannot expect a significant amount of resistance, but it does provide a slightly harder workout in the pool which also relieved the strain on fingers as you can hold your hands in a more relaxed open position particularly if you spend a long time in the pool. The issue I have with this is the very unclear sizing. It was quite difficult to estimate what size I required as you only really have the overall length top and bottom. The smallest size seemed to suggest a finger span of 24cm. I have average sized hands but struggled to work out how any one’s finger span stretches to 24cm unless you are a 6ft7 basketballer! Even so, I decided to go with the smallest option as it still seemed large for me going on the measurements provided. Upon trying I found that the finger loops were too tight. I did manage to squeeze my fingers in for a 1 hour session in the pool but soon noticed that the blood circulation to my fingers were being cut off.I think this product could be 4 stars but only if the seller revises the dimensions and provides finger diameter dimensions to make it easier to size up and prevent blood constriction to the fingers.

I'm a woman and where a size 6 surgical glove, or small Marigold, and the medium is a good fit. In fact when I put these on the first time I could feel my pulse throbbing in the end of my fingers. Good for doing a few lengths of drill, and they do give you a good sense of where in your pull to apply force. As they don't extend beyond the end of your fingers there is no possibility of a 'trip' if you accidentally touch the water too early. However I find them more fiddly to put on that a rigid plastic hand paddle, but at the same time after about 4 lengths they start to work off so I need to stop and adjust them. I did a couple of timed lengths, and although I felt as though I was faster, the clock was pretty much the same as I am without them. On balance I prefer the rigid hand paddles.
