This bracket works as designed. That said, it would be better if the size and holes fit so you could use it on a 4x4 post. Currently, the bracket is wider and the mounting holes are just outside the width of a 4x4 post.Since I was mounting it to the deck I had to pivot on the mounting area and make it work but it doesn't look as good as it should.

Pole is only 1.5", had to buy a bigger size, these were too small.

Mounts appear to be heavy-duty and of good quality. The powder-coat finish is well done.I had seen a review that indicated these would not fit a standard 4x4 post but decided to order them anyway. When received, I noted that the horizontal hole spacing was about 3 5/16 inches - a standard 4x4 post is 3 1/2 inches wide, so the screws have only about 3/32" of wood on each side to screw into, which is insufficient. My solution was to drill one hole on one side and secure each mount with only 3 screws using #10 2 1/2" decking screws instead of the included screws.The mounts are quite solid on the post and I am pleased with the results.

These are great umbrella brackets. Extremely easy to install, heavy duty, and adjust for varying sizes of poles. They keep our patio umbrellas very secure even in windy conditions. Highly recommend.

We wanted an umbrella over a little sitting area on our deck. I didn't want the huge base sitting on the deck. This was a perfect option. It is extremely sturdy and looks great.

This item is a great product for the price. Heavy duty material and easily installed. Highly recommend. We built a deck for a friend and gave them this as a gift. They loved it. They said that the quality of this product surpassed the ones that they saw in the big box stores. Once they were told how much we paid for it they said they couldn't believe how much more expensive the ones they saw of a lesser quality were in the store. If I could give 10 stars 🌟 they would have it. We were very pleased.
