I wasn't sure what to expect when I purchased this Pavetron Diamond Cutting Head to use with my Foredom H.15 reciprocating hammer tool, but it has made my jewelry work look like a lot more intricate work than it really is. I receive many compliments on how shiny and beautiful my sterling pieces are when I texture with this.The key is to not work too quickly, or too slowly. Keep the hammer at a steep angle, because a shallow angle will cause unwanted blemishes from the edge that holds the diamond in. I've found that the lighter the setting on the hammer, the better the shimmery effect will be on the piece.Note that the Pavetron can also be used for engraving/writing.My photos are 100% untouched, unfiltered. The glittery, shimmery results are inadequately captured in a still image.

I've been using these for years and this one has the quality I've been used to. It screws into the end of my hammer hand piece & took me just a little bit of practicing to become a pavetron expert. Nowadays with the price of gold being so high, we've done a lot of silver jewelry, then applied the pavetron finish which gives it the look of pave diamonds. I love it on dome rings & animal pins. I usually get started in one spot & use a circular motion to cover the piece in the areas I want to sparkle. It looks good on silver, but it LOOKS FANTASTIC on gold & palladium. Did a white gold & rose gold piece where we pavetron'd the rose gold & it looked fantastic. Only wish I would have taken pictures. Highly recommended for any jeweler to add a little something extra to their bag of tricks!!
