This is a lovely hide for my Syrian hamster. I would say due to the size it would be unsuitable for a Guinea pig.

I agree with so many of the reviews. I bought this for my guinea pig, but it is too small. The picture showing the guinea pig being smaller than the entry archway is completely misleading! My 6 month old guinea pig barely fits into it and then the rooms are far too small. In addition, the structure does not stay together. Please be careful before buying this product as I wish I had been.

Fairly simple to put together. My guinea pigs love it and spend a lot of time jumping in and out of the little windows. The lid comes off so you can clean inside but once it's soaked with their pee it can grow mold quickly if you're not cleaning up their poos often. I went 2 days and when I noticed this I had to replace because of the mold growing. Still a nice product just know if you're animals enjoy chewing you'll be replacing the huts more often.

Currently on our second of these houses. My guinea pigs love it and actually argue over who gets to hang out in it. Easy to put together (no tools involved). I do like the removable lid for easy cleaning.UPDATE- had an issue and Amazon fixed it very quickly. I was also contacted directly by the company who were incredibly nice and more than willing to help! The customer service is great! My guinea pigs are looking forward to several more years with their new house!

I purchased 3 of these for my guinea pigs and before I even used then, I was displeased with the way they are assembled. They are slotted so the wood slides into the other piece. A few problems occurred, the slots were slightly off, very fragile, and they were in opposite directions-i.e. they would come apart when picked up if not done with extreme care. I wood glued one, still not feeling that they were secure enough. More over, none of my guinea pigs would fit through any of the openings. I sent them back for a refund and purchased a different one (x3) that is slotted but all in the same direction so when picked up, it does not fall apart.

Cute, but flimsy and arrived already damaged - wood panel was splitting. So beware that it’s not good quality at all, and for $50 I’d expect better quality.

Wow I love this product I bought two sets and we have two guinea pigs but they are such high-quality I wanted to have extra they’re great they fall down the roof comes off easy so you can trap them get them to go into a cuddle sack the windows are great he can jump through them you can put them side-by-side and I’ll go right through to each other what can I say it’s just perfect super high-quality the best I’ve ever had on Amazon love it I recommend this to everyone my piggies love it and you will too ….

Rating the features for being chewproof on a wooden hut for an animal that chews is kinda backward. My guinea pig is SUPPOSED to chew it! Ha! It's easy to assemble and yes, it comes apart when I take it out of his cage but that's fine. Also, it is bare wood so it gets poopy on the inside walls but I set it outside in the sun and that seems to make it a little more manageable. It's just a little small for my portly guinea pig, but overall I am satisfied with it. Just not sure I'll get this one again.

It is completely natural and I do not need to worry when they chew on it (they do that a lot). It is light, looks good and easy to clean. I bought the second one after one of my guinea pigs claimed one for himself and the other one started laying next to it (despite the fact that they have multiple hiding places). very happy with the purchase and will be buying more once they finish eating these two:)).

So I would love to give this little wooden house a 5 star rating because our 2 female guinea pigs love it, it was easy to assemble, not screws, wires or glue of any kind on it and it is big enough for both of them. However, ours arrived with a relatively small crack above one of the side windows that I didnt think much of. But our girls are climbers so while one is inside the other is usually on top of it. After having it for a month or so the crack had extended down to the window and then the portion below the window also cracked. Now the crack extends from the top above the window to the very bottom below the window. I can wedge it together so that the roof stays on but I keep a close eye on it and I cannot let them have it at night for fear that whoever is on top will fall if the roof falls and fall on the other one.

My guinea pigs love this! It was simple to put together yet is very very sturdy. The doorway looks small but trust me your piggy will fit, I have a 2 year old boy and he fit through perfectly with room left! He fits through the windows too and inside he has plenty of room left even when he poofs up during veggie time XDHe likes trying to chew it though since he’s a big chewer, he’ll chew anything or at least try to but this is super durable wood so he gives up quickly. My baby guinea pig (2 months) loves loves loves this! He’s constantly going through the windows instead of the doorway or trying to get on top of it, after playing with this house he got serious zoomies it was so cute to see him so happy🥺Probably gonna purchase a second for my female pigs! Definitely recommend, especially with the summer months coming since the heat makes plastic hides hotter so a wood hide would be nice

I got this house for my two adult male guinea pigs. It was fairly easy to assemble, although it doesn't come with any directions. The pieces are slotted to fit together and the roof sits on top. I used it to replace the plastic hide that my pigs had previously, because they liked to nibble on the edges and I didn't want them ingesting the plastic by accident. So far they have been chewing on the edges of the doorway and the windows, which is fine because the wood is safe for them and will wear down their teeth. They have no problem fitting in the door and windows, and they're fairly large pigs. This morning I actually caught one of them sitting on top of the house, so it's also sturdy enough to support their weight if that's a concern. Overall it's a nice, roomy hide for guinea pigs that's safe for chewing and easy to move around, and it doesn't really get dirty because the bottom is open.
