It seems like a neat heating mat, I like how thin it is.It heats up quickly. But it’s thermostat is confusing and doesn’t say what temperature any of the settings are.I couldn’t find anywhere in its users manual that said what temperatures the numbers correlated with on the thermostat. This is a big flaw.

I was skeptical when I received this item, especially since the packaging suggested that was a reptile heating mat. The material is very thin and gave off cheap vibes. However, when I actually used it for my resin project, I was pleasantly surprised by how helpful this mat is.I put a thin silicone sheet on top to catch any accidental resin spills. I used a disposable aluminum roasting pan from the dollar store as a cover. I lay my mold on top, pour the resin, and start the heat. The heating process seems to help get rid of any bubbles on thin items. For my bloom coasters, I didn't need to pop bubbles because there weren't any after a few minutes on the heat matIt definitely accelerated curing time. I was able to demold in half the time: 4 hours instead of 8. After I set the demolded item aside to finish the curing process, I was able to start a new project with the mold that I had just emptied. This makes it easier to create multiple items in a shorter amount of time. It's also helpful when the weather gets cold, since the resin project can be kept in the ideal temperature range using this heating mat with a coverWhy the temperature settings aren't marked on the dial, the seller does list the corresponding temperature for each number in one of the photos for this listing. I took a screenshot and will probably print it out for reference. It would have been better if the seller has included an actual sheet of paper in the package with the heat settings.Overall, I am very happy with this item, and look forward to creating some nice resin pieces using it.

I ordered this heating mat to pre-warm my epoxy resin solutions before I combine them. When I mix them at room temperature, I always end up with some small bubbles, and I'm hoping to eliminate them. Since pre-warming is a suggestion made by several epoxy manufacturers, I'm trying it. The mat itself measures about 17 inches long, but adds an inch where the electrical cord is attached. It's about 10.5 inches wide and is thin. The temperature control has settings from 1 - 10, but doesn't explain what temperature each number achieves. The information on the label provides recommended temperatures for a variety of reptiles - with no information about resin settings. Since I wasn't sure of what setting to use, I started with 1 and held my hand on the mat to feel how warm it got. When I reached 4, the mat felt warm enough to slowly warm the epoxy fluids. About 2 hours later, the epoxy is warming up. This is a hard test for the mat because I put two of my one gallon containers on it. The good news is that it's working as it should. The price point is a winner for small businesses - it's an affordable option. It'll wipe clean with a damp cloth, though I'll cover it with a Teflon sheet if I make any pours over it. I like that it can be rolled up for storage, so it doesn't need much space when not in use. This warming mat appears to be decent quality and will, hopefully, get rid of the bubbles!

It's a good size heating mat and can pretty much cover the box I am using. Also, 40w is really powerful, in order not wasting the heat I put it in between of 2 boxes and it works really. I was using it to keep the box warm so that the Fermentation can keep reacting and both box works but it works better when it's on the bottom.I am also using it for my tortoise soaking in the warm water, it does keep the water warm when highest of the heat level depend on how much water and if the container conduct heat well. One thing I wish is the setup controller can stay in the setting after power outage. So far it just power off and I have to power it on and set the level. With that, I can not only save some work but also have possibility to add smart thermostat to get a better control.

I like to do DIY project for our house and have recent got into resin. While I don’t have a station in my home I tend to work outside where it’s more ventilated so when it’s cold I worry about air bubbles. Having this mat made a huge difference when making smaller jars, picture frames, keychains etc. setting the items on this mat for an hour or so removed nearly all small air bubbles trapped inside. The mat is the perfect size and I simply placed it on my glass top stove to prevent burning anything by mistake. The mat heats really evenly and doesn’t seem to have any cold/warmer spots. I do wish you could fold the mat but if you have a craft drawer you can easily lay it on top as it’s really thin plastic. Definitely a nice tool for DIY crafters.

This is a brilliant use for a reptile terrarium heating pad. It has a smooth surface to make resin curing easy and an adjustable temperature control to keep from overheating molds or resin pieces. The large surface means you can process a lot of pieces at once and streamline the production process. The smooth, flexible surface is easy to clean any spilled or dripped resin from and it appears to be pretty durable. I don't recommend rolling it up - find a way to store it flat and you'll be good.It does get hot in both sides, so a silicone or similar work mat underneath it is a must unless you have a junky table you don't care much about. It gets hot enough that it could damage lacquer on wood tables or discolor countertops.
