Purchased it May 5, used and changed it a few times. By May 20, it was swarmed with maggots. I didn’t take a picture of the bag as I was disgusted but I took a picture of the lid after I sprayed it down with bug killer. I purchased this to prevent bugs and odors from spreading and it did the complete opposite, there was water that would come out when I would change the bags. Should have been the first warning sign of a bad product. Not worth purchasing. Way too expensive for this item.

I really like this for picking up after my 3 dogs. It keeps the stink at bay but in the summer, when it gets hot I usually need to change the bag more than once a week (garbage day) due to maggots. It is kind of a stylish can for dog poop so it's definitely not an eye sore whatsoever. This is my second year of having this can and it still looks like new.

We bought this can it sits outside our home? It gets used 3 to 4 times per day. This is the perfect size. We have two dogs Our trash gets emptied once per week. It’s been knocked around some still doing well.

This container has a capacity of 3.1 gallons, which is sufficient to keep enough dog excrement to last for many days before it has to be evacuated. I find this to be a really useful feature since it eliminates the need for me to make repeated visits to empty it, yet it still manages to keep the odor confined. I believe that the step-to-open function is really helpful, particularly in situations when you have a lot of things on your hands and you don't want to bend down and touch the lid. The pedal operates without any hiccups, and I have not had any problems with it being stuck or not opening completely. A 7.8-inch activated carbon filter is included with the trash can, and it does an excellent job of minimizing any unpleasant odors that may be present. In spite of the fact that I was concerned about the accumulation of odors on warm days, I discovered that the filter was able to do its function rather successfully. I believe that having a reliable system for controlling odors is essential for a product such as this one, and I have not been let down by such mechanisms. Especially considering that this can is situated in close proximity to our patio, which is where we prefer to unwind, it makes a significant impact.

Update: Pawsidea seems very invested in the quality of their product and further customer satisfaction. They contacted me to offer a replacement of the item at no charge as I may have received a can not fully coated in rust proofing. They were quite persistent about wanting to ensure I was pleased with their product, which honestly is refreshing since many sellers will just take your money and leave you to twist in the wind. I did receive a replacement can as promised. Many thanks.The outside of this can remains rustproof and sturdy however the inside bucket handle is getting rusty, not a huge deal unless it breaks from the pail (I've had this about 3 months). The "charcoal filter" is a joke. It's going to reek, no matter what, and I line it with a plastic bag and take it out every week and spray it with Lysol. And it's expensive. I don't know if I would have gotten the same type of thing just going to TJ Maxx and getting a push pedal trash can for half the price.
