These connectors are quite nice, and good quality. They are keyed so one can insert the plug only one way. However, one can insert the connector one or two pins over, something to be aware of, although that should be fairly obvious visually.The pins in the through-hole PCB-mount part of the connector are quite thick and sturdy, but note that they may be a little hard to insert in standard pin-header PCB holes. If they are difficult to insert because the holes are borderline too small, then it is possible some pins will retreat into the connector housing. But one can use pliers to put the pin back in its proper place. Once soldered, there's no longer any problem. I have used dozens of these in a project, and they worked out great. Too bad that they are not a "standard" connector that can be bought anywhere.

These are slippery and soft. There is no grip holding the male and female pieces together and the plastic is very very soft.
