I got it working. It had a bad SATA Y cable in the box. Windows recognized the card and installed the drivers with no problems. However there was no power at the USB ports as the included SATA Y cable was faulty. Fortunately I had a Molex plug available and was able to use that adapter instead which brought the ports to life.Needs better quality control on the cables.

Added this to my aging but still effective and quick acer m3970 motherboard which didn’t have usb3 capabilities. It does now. Quick and easy and achieves great speeds.

I bought this for attaching my Oculus Quest VR headset to my PC. I don't know if I bought the wrong card or there were issues with the USB C port, but in either case, it wouldn't recognize it when used with a supported cable.

Tried using this for my Reverb G2 hook up. Didn't work. Windows wouldn't recognize my HMD plugged into the USB C port or plugged into the USB 3.0 port via adapter. Thankfully I have a C port on my motherboard to use. Will be returning.

Not sure what the guy is on about saying it's slow. Its USB 3.0 (not 3.1). All my ports function, including the USB c port. I transferred files to an external SSD at 350-400 Megabytes a second. That's pretty much the practical limit of USB 3.0.Chipset is a "Fresco Logic xHCI (USB3) Controller FL1100 Series" if anyone is curious. Don't personally, care. It's $12 for crying out loud.
