This adapter works great with a PCIE adapter for dgpu setup for the 2014 Mac Mini.

Super easy to install, except you need the special Torx driver for the Mac mini. If you have that its a no brainer. My mini had the standard hard drive, I left that in the computer and use as storage. I installed an mvme ssd and the computer runs great with Monterey. Before it was so slow and unusable. I encourage you to do this upgrade. Like now.

This is what you need if you want to upgrade your late 2014 Mac Mini. Mine is a Core i5, 8 GB RAM and 1 TB HDD. I used this adapter and I added a 500 GB WD blue SN570 NVMe SSD (WDS500G3B0C) to my Mac. After I installed this adapter and the SSD, I formatted my 1 TB hard drive (make a copy of your files before doing this), and I did the same with the new drive (on youtube you can find several tutorials or how to do this, I followed one of them). After this, I reinstalled MacOS Monterrey, and let me tell you something, this Mac now it is lightning fast. This is the best way to get a quick mac without spending the money in a brand new one.

Enables quick and easy 10 minute installation of an NVMExpress SSD in a Late 2014 Mac Mini. Adapter comes with 2 screws, one for adapter, one for SSD, and a tiny screwdriver as well!! Buy the Torx security screwdriver separately for removal of the access cover from the Mac. Super Easy!

Worked great! Much easier than replacing the original hard drive and made my old Mac Mini tolerable to use

My Mac Mini Late 2014 had been sluggish for a while and I wanted to update to a SSD. This adapter worked like a charm!

I installed this adapter card with a Crucial 500GB PCI-E x2 M.2 SSD in a 2014 Mac Mini with the original slow hard drive. The installation took no more than 10 minutes. After that it was simply a matter of installing the latest Mac Os Mojave on the new drive and using Migration Assistant to transfer applications and settings from the old drive. The new SSD drive has transfer speeds over 10x that of the old HD.
