Tried to use this since I just replaced my valve cover gasket and didn't want to have to remove the valve cover again. This turned out to be more work getting the original cap off since its fused to the valve cover. I got mine off cleaned the mating surfaces, and installed the new one with some rtv to make sure it didn't leak. It did not work. I'm my situation it was worth the gable incase it did work but ultimately not worth the hassle. I would recommend you just bite the bullet and spend the money on a reputable replacement valve cover.

$15 vs $300. Instead of replacing entire valve cover, this is all you need. Total cost under $30 with a sealer / adhesive
