The issue I had with this item, and why I sent it back, is that the plunger was rattling loose and remaining open. There is a spring inside but it's job is to keep the plunger closed to provide resistance to vacuum and help prevent blow-back. If I tilted the valve upwards (plunger side up) it would open quite a bit as it sat on the spring. If I turned it downwards the plunger would fall down and close - ergo, the rattle. Rattling is not a proper way to test a PCV valve, other than to determine if it's stuck/clogged or not. You need to test the spring tension and know whether it's tuned for your particular engine. Not all PCV's are the same. YMMV.

The OEM valve has a spring in it. This one doesn't. I don't feel comfortable to install it.Bought and installed an OEM one.

Once I received it, the key is getting all the right tools to install this. Long nose pliers to loosen the wire clip to the hose. The right size DEEP socket wrench with extension, torque to 33.

Worked perfect on my 2008 fn2 type r at a fraction of the price.Update, after a week on the car. the pcv has failed. Just shows buy cheap buy twice. Will be ordering one from Cox or tegiwa

Debe de hacer la función que corresponde, pero como el muelle no llega a presionar la chapista interna hasta abajo cuando el motor está en marcha se oye cómo un cascabeleo que proviene de ahí, al final he limpiado y he puesto la válvula PCV antigua que es la original y va bien.

Da ich viele Kilometer schrubbe, macht sich ein erhöhter Ölverbrauch natürlich direkt bemerkbar.Mein 8er Honda Civic mit dem 1.8er hat sonst nie großartig Öl verbraucht, doch auf ein mal stieg der Ölverbrauch deutlich an.Im Normalfall sind es 50-100ml auf 1200km gewesen. Nun fehlten aber locker 500ml auf einmal.Da ich die Macken des Motors kenne tauschte ich erstmal das günstigste Teil und anscheinend lag es auch an der dfekten KGE.Nun hat sich nach dem Tausch des KGE-Ventils der Ölverbrauch wieder normalsiert.
