This foot switch is excellent for use with handheld routers - requires no letting go with one hand to turn the machine on which greatly improves accuracy. I have not found it difficult to use turn on or off etc. Can be used with any handheld plug in power tool

On / off is tricky. You have to have the right angle and pressure. It could be better
