How to use:
- Wash the mold thoroughly before use
- Lightly dust with corn flour to ease release
- Pour the melted chocolate or fudge into the mold. Scrape away any excess paste to keep the outline can be seen
- Wait for it to from and then demold
- Apply natural food coloring on the surface of the fondant to make the it vivid
- The silicone mold is freezer, oven, microwave and dishwasher free

Tips:

Easy to use and made pretty pearls for my cake

This mold is not well suited for use with fondant. Fondant is too soft and pliable to lift out of the mold without pulling it out of shape. Gum paste is better suited to this mold, but even it is difficult to release from the mold in shape and “strung together” like a string of pearls. I am an experienced cake baker & decorator, so this is not my first rodeo. I thoroughly dusted the mold in corn starch before pressing fondant and, later, gum paste into it. Cornstarch does help, but it still isn’t great. At best, I could get about half a strand of “pearls” out of the mold that were mostly in good shape. It is possible to make individual pearls from this mold, but you can do that by hand rolling fondant or gum paste with no need of a mold. I will say that I did not try greasing the mold with Crisco, but that might work. Basically, if you want to spend quite a bit of time playing around with this mold and figuring out a technique that could work, go right ahead. Otherwise, I’d skip this product.

The mold is so thick and dense that the pearls won’t come out as a connected strand. The mold needs to be thinner and more pliable which would actually save the manufacturer money!

I haven't had a chance to use this product yet but I am pleased so far. I was afraid the holes were going to be too small but they are true pearl size. From the design it appears to release easily so I won't have to wrestle them out of the mold. I am anxious to try it!

This mold was extremely easy to use. I simply dusted the mold with cornstarch before using fondant. The only thing I would make you aware of is that you need to be extremely gentle with the pearls because they will separate from the string.
