These are the greatest no extra tools needed. Just make sure you know the thickness of your tile and order accordingly!

This sounded like a great idea but as I pulled some out of the box at least 10 of the first 25 or so were already broken off. And the ones that I did try to use were both very fragile - meaning they snapped off before they clicked or were not strong enough to pull two tiles to the same level.

If your tiles are close to the maximum size range get the next size. I got the blue ones that are suppose to work with up to 3/8” thick tiles. My tiles are 5/16” and when I started installing them, about every other clip broke off. I had to stop and rethink the install. I was able to “preweaken’ the clips by “working”the wings a few times and squeezing the bend in the wings with a pair of pliers. After that they worked pretty good on my thick tiles. I will use them again on the next tiling project. The other types of leveling systems seem cumbersome to use because of needing multiple pieces and another tool to keep track of.

This is my first time tiling, and my DIY abilities are middle of the road. I'm installing three rooms (approx. 180 sft) using 24x6 tiles.I found that the tiles were "bowed" higher in the center and lower at each end, making lipage a real concern. Even following the manufactures suggestions for 1/3 tile offset and extensive use of a level I was concerned that there would be lipage.I had difficulty deciding how many I would need but eventually decided on about 4-5 per tile (I looked at each tile as having one on each short end and 3 down each long end - using the knowledge that each clip effects two tiles, I only planed for the number needed on two sides of a tile) since each tile is approx 1 sft and I needed 180 sft (180*4 = 720) I then subtracted all of the tiles that are on along the wall. I grabbed a box of 500 and think I will have about 25-50 left over.Installing was simple, I loved the "no tool" aspect and being able to just clip them shut by hand as I went. I did have minor amounts of breakage, I think I've broken 5-6 so far. You must still use spacers for your grout lines (if your like me, you will find the cheap standard "+" sign spacers the easiest to use. Tried to use "Target" style and found them to be much harder, especially when working near the clips. They do a great job of pulling adjoining tiles level no matter how much I tried to mess this up. It has been great.CONs:1) When clipping them shut they can "pull" some of the thinset up to the surface of the tile. Because the create a covered area over the grout line where the thinset is pulled up, I found it hard to get the grout line and surface of the tile under the clip clean. This is mostly my fault as I'm sloppy with my thinset, I'm getting better and this is becoming less of an issue. And I must say cleaning a little thinset off the top after 24 hours is much better than chipping up and resetting for level/lipage issues.2) Not all of the clips break below the tile level where they should, some break near the top of the clip, and stay up above the tile or just below the top surface of the tile, but still interfere with the grout line. I find I can "knock" these off gently with a thin standard screwdriver.All-in-all a great tool that has accomplished the job I asked it to do.

Very hard to clip and they would often break.

Great self leveling system! Granted I have only used one other system, from Home Depot, but this works well and quickens the process of installing flat lippage free tile. Floor still needs to be fairly flat. One handed installation! I am a full time tile contractor and I will be using this system for all plank and large format tile from now on.

These worked really well as a leveling system. It was the first time I had used the TLS. The only issue I had with them is that it seemed like a unusually high number of them broke when I was squeezing the together. I would estimate that 1 in 15 snapped off during the install. My tiles were on the high end of the recommended size, but they were within the range.I would use them again, but I wish they didn't break as much.

I'm a bathroom remodeler that has used many different types of leveling systems (some pretty expensive ones too)And I was totally impressed by these new clips. Easier to use than with a gun like others. Highly recommend!
