This thing is awesome. Took about two minutes to install. Totally changes the throttle response. I have the 8 speed and it will smoke the tires.

Does not give you more power, just changes the curve of the voltage to the throttle quicker.Definitely feels more power, but it is just giving you the power available quicker.

I’ve always been underwhelmed with my JK and it’s sluggish nature. I’ve tried all sorts of tweaks, short of a multi-thousand dollar supercharger or a new engine.Enter the pedal commander...my latest attempt to try and improve responsiveness. After a quick but awkward install, I cranked it up and headed out. After playing with varied settings, all I can say is, it’s impressive. While it’s not a new engine, it feels like a different Jeep, and really takes out the sluggish nature of the OEM throttle response. Lag removed. In my years of driving this Jeep, I wish I had known or invested a mere $300 more up front for something like this. It’s changed my driving experience and will certainly keep my Jeep in the driveway for many years to come.

2015 Ram 2500 Diesel: provided improved pedal feel and perception of more power. However, twice I have received a dashboard service alert, “service electronic throttle control.” Had to unplug the unit to resolve the code. 2nd time left it unplugged, lost confidence in pedal commander product. Error code occurred while driving. Will attempt to contact mfr. directly for a refund. Had I bought this at my local ORW, I’d very likely have a positive return experience. In this case the amazon return window lasted 1 month, hopefully the 3 months since purchase is not at issue with the manufacturer.

Definitely gets rid of the Throttle lag on a Jeep. But my gas milage is around 10.3 mpg or less since installing this, but i don't seem to be using more gas than usual, still filling up the same time every week.. I'm usually 12 to 14 mpg. so I don't know if the ECM is being tricked in some way.. Ive let it ride for about 1000 miles, and the ECM still thinks I have bad gas mileage..

2013 jku Sahara 5.5" lift. 4.88 gears. 37" tires. Full size spare on heavy poison spyder rear bumper. I did not build this jeep for speed. So after a while I started missing the quickness. Came across this product and thought way to long about it. Wish I bought it sooner! Night and day difference! Took me about ten minutes to install. I don't know what everyone else is talking about needing to be a contortionist! I'm 6'9" tall! Didn't contort anything. Worth every penny!

7/2019 update: I had to uninstall the PC unit after the second time that it suddenly put my Jeep in "limp mode", and triggered the check engine light alert. This could have been disastrous, as both times I was at a busy intersection. I cannot take the chance that my Jeep becomes unresponsive again. I emailed the company for advice, but heard nothing. Therefore, I sheepishly retract the following review that I submitted last year:This is definitely a “must have” for your Jeep. It has given my 2011 Wrangler a “Zip” that I did not know was possible. The pedal response is so true and quick, that I’ve had to change the speed that I release the clutch. I recommend: Install by removing the access panel beneath the steering wheel, rather than trying to fit your body under the dash to access the plug. Hang on to your hat.

First off let me get the bad out of the way. If you have a Jeep Wrangler, you are going to need the assistance of a contortionist with tiny hands to get this installed. This is not a fault of the Pedal Commander but a consequence of limited space around the pedal and the placement of the wire harness in the Wrangler. After struggling for an hour trying to get in position to unplug the factory wiring and trying to get my hands to fit in the cramped space by the plug, I finally called in my niece (who is thin & nimble) to finish the job. This very well could be a five minute installation on other models, but I can only speak from my experience in a 2016 Wrangler. Now on to the good. I absolutely love this thing. I bought it for the Eco mode since we all know the Wrangler tends to guzzle the gas. Even in Eco mode you can feel the instant giddy-up when you push down on the Pedal. It is definitely more responsive than without the Pedal Commander. I will have to see if this actually does improve my gas mileage (no big deal if not, this thing is worth it either way). The other modes are City, Sport and Sport Plus. I think City Mode will be more than enough response for most people. Just giving the pedal a little push will get you up to speed quickly. Sport and Sport Plus will throw into the backseat with just the tiniest tap of the pedal (very fun, but you should definitely be cautious when you first try these two modes out, this could get dangerous until you get use to it).Along with each mode you can adjust the sensitivity up 8 different levels so you can find the perfect setting for your driving style.Mark me as a satisfied customer.
