There are better options for "tuning" out there. All this does is remap the voltage on your accelerator so that your throttle responds a bit more quickly to your pedal. No actual increase in power, just makes it more "responsive" For $270, just stomp on your pedal harder....

If you’re looking to add a little extra zing to your Porsche 911, the Pedal Commander is the perfect co-pilot. This nifty gadget takes the already thrilling driving experience and dials it up a notch (or ten). Say goodbye to any delay between your foot and the car’s response. This thing transforms throttle lag into a distant memory. Installation? A breeze. Customization? Plenty of modes to suit your mood, whether you’re feeling eco-friendly or channeling your inner race car driver. It won't turn you into Ken Block, but you might feel like it. 👍👍

Usually when you step on the gas it has a small time to take off. With this my Porsche immediately takes off. It is very simple to install there is no need to know mechanics.

I found it easy to install but I am not able to change the mode for my 2020 911, it is possible there needs to be an update or I installed it incorrectly. I am not sure what the issue is but I am unable to return it :/.

This throttle response is actually really nice! I do think it could be better in some ways and quality-wise, but overall it is nice! I was super skeptical about getting this after reading the reviews but it is actually much better than I thought it would be and much better than the ones everyone else got. This came very well packed and secured with no damage to it whatsoever. Everything was exactly as described in the ad. My husband is super familiar with installing stuff like this so he was easily able to get it hooked up and ready to go! All of the buttons work and it's super user friendly and easy once you get the hang of it. The different modes definitely work well and I have not had any issue. Definitely pretty solid. I feel like the actual thing could be higher quality so it would last longer but other than that this is great and a great value for your money! Solid 10 out of 10

The Pedal Commander made a huge difference in the responsiveness of my car! The lag between hitting the gas and actually accelerating is practically gone, especially in Sport+ mode. It’s easy to switch between modes depending on how I want to drive—Eco mode is perfect for cruising, while Sport+ is a thrill. Installation took just a few minutes, and it was well worth it for the improved driving experience.

So, what does this ACTUALLY do? Allow me to explain. The gas pedal in your car (if it's in any way modern) isn't attached to your engine via a cable. The only thing that attaches your gas pedal to the engine is some wires. Your gas pedal, has part of its circuitry, has a 5v power supply line, and how far you press on the pedal determines how much of that 5 volts goes to the ECU to tell the engine how much throttle you want. 0 volts would be idle. 5 volts would be WOT (Wide Open Throttle), or foot to the floor. What this does is it takes that 0-5v signal, and re-maps it. In stock form, when you push the gas pedal halfway down, that should be 2.5 volts to the ECU. This changes that mapping, so, say, at 50% pedal, instead of 2.5 volts, it might be feeding it 3.5 volts, or 4.0 volts.Likewise, in "Eco" mode, it will REDUCE that voltage, so at 50% throttle, instead of 2.5 volts, maybe it only gives 2 volts, or 1.5 volts. Now, there are a few serious drawbacks to a system like this that doesn't interface with the OBD. First, this can make your throttle very touchy in situations where you don't want it to be. Like...parking. Or...ahem...backing up. Second, in the event of a failure, which can happen when this device puts too much current draw on the instrumentation 5v power supply, you lose all pedal control and the vehicle will go into "protected mode". And one other thing...the "eco mode" isn't very safe if you're in a situation where you NEED power, and this is simply restricting the power you need. It would be different if "eco mode" had any REAL effect on mileage, but the fact is it simply CAN'T. All it does is tell the car your pedal is at 25% when it's really at 50%.You can do that yourself. Don't push the pedal down as far.So, what all this means is, if you want to put this device on your Porsche, it will, indeed, ramp up the throttle response by feeding the ECU more voltage from the throttle circuit. But there are drawbacks that make it a hazardous device to use in day-to-day traffic. Or in your garage. Or in parking lots.Mildly recommended for race tracks. Not recommended for daily drivers. If you want something for a daily driver, I recommend something that takes power from the OBD port, not the 5v instrumentation power supply.
