If you need a thicker veneer, this is not it. It is on the thiner side. It works for me, as I just want to cover the top of a small table. The roll has a good amount, so even if some edges have defects, it should be easy to work around. I had to lay mine flat as it comes in a roll so it will be wavy. The roll was actually thigh so i was afraid the veneer was damaged. But after a few days it was flat. As you can see in the picture, now it looks nice and flat. The color is very nice. It looks like the back is adhesive, I have not tried that yet. I bought some adhesive and a top coat just in case. I will update after I get around finishing the project. It took a long time to come when i ordered it, but looks like now it ships faster.

So far the adhesive it holding to a steel exterior door (the inside of the door is veneered not the outside), without peeling. Hopefully when the door gets cold in the winter, it will remain adhered to it.It stained easy but I had to do a lot of cutting & 'chop' work as the one side of the veneer strip roll was not perfectly straight but extremely wavy, thus it could not be hung along a straight seem like wallpaper. This made it difficult to apply in a neat fashion. The veneer can be cut easily with scissors or really strong box cutters. When done well, it looks like solid wood.
