Our new covered patio measures 10'x14' - but a large barbecue island takes up a lot of space. I wanted a sturdy table that could seat up to 8 when we entertain, but would still have room for people to move around. After searching extensively for the right size and shape, this table turned out to be PERFECT. Easily accommodates 8 chairs when extended to a square - but folds down to a rectangle for 4-6 easily. If you're shopping for a table, you've probably noticed that most on the market work the other way around (starting square and extending from the ends to the rectangle shape.)It took two of us "not handy" old people to put it together, but the instructions were easy to follow. It was packaged well and should last a long time. We love it!

I love this table. I ordered two. I am able to set up the table for eight or put them together and create either a 10 or 12 person seating. Love the versatility and quality.
